Title
Letter from B. R. Ambedkar to E. R. A. Seligman (February 16, 1922)
Subject
B. R. Ambedkar, "The Stabilization of the Indian Exchange," Ph.D. thesis, Columbia University
Description
Ambedkar writes that since he lost the "manuscript of [his] original [Ph.D] thesis when the steamer was torpedoed on my way back to India in 1917," he plans on submitting a new thesis titled "The Stabilization of the Indian Exchange" for the Ph.D. at Columbia. Since the new thesis involves a "burning question of the day" and he has "treated it in a thoroughgoing fashion," Ambedkar believes "there will be a very large sale."
